Is an energetic healer, a photographer, a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and a translator. She works with creative writing and humand evelopment, establishing a dialogue between literature, the arts, and yoga.

 

She writes short stories and poetry that have been published in several anthologies and magazines, and wants to give birth to her first solo book soon.

Since her Graduation (1995) in Languages and Literature at FLUL (School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisboa), she has mainly worked as a translator and a higher education teacher, having completed a Masters (2000) and a PhD (2007) in American Studies. 

 

She was an Invited Assistant Professor at FLUL (2007-2020), teaching graduate and undergraduate courses inU.S. Literature, Contemporary Art, Gender Studies, and Visual Culture. She is an Integrated Researcher at CEAUL-ULICES (University of Lisboa Center for English Studies), where she still directs an academic writing center and where she has organized several international conferences and edited critical anthologies.

 

Diana has been practicing yoga and meditation since her twenties and in her early thirties she started exploring energetic healing techniques that she combines with crystal, sound, and essential oils in a synthesis christened Tuning the Heart (Afinar o Coração). Her post-doctoral project on corporeality and desire in the work of woman poets and photographers included a cultural performance implemented at Museu Coleção Berardo (Centro Cultural de Belém, 2009-2015), which has inspired her current proposal Writing the Heart (Escrever o Coração), connecting self-expression through the arts.
