Program and Activities

Every retreat has a theme. This January 2024 is all about re-encountering yourself, and, the Azorean winter is the perfect place to do that, to plant a seed in your heart, to let it germinate and let it grow on spring. 

In January, during the week, we will be working with spiritual aromatherapy, color therapy, aromatic reiki, gem therapy, water meditation and rituals, and you will be introduced to gemmotherapy (tree bud therapy), the perfect tool for such a personal integrative journey…

Botanical Walk in Fogo Lagoon with biologist Tiago Menezes who will introduce us to the plants, flora and the ecosystem.

Guided visit to Caldeira Velha´s Park and hot springs, with biologist Tiago Menezes. Don't forget your bathing suit!

We will have a nice picnic near the place where they cook the famous Azorean stew

After lunch we will visit a viewpoint Nossa Senhora da Iria and the Santa Barbara beach with some flora unique to the island.

In this day we will start to visit Canário Lagoon and Belvedere Grota do Inferno.

There Jonathan will do an Aromatic Ancestral Meditation in the Cryptomeria Forest.

After lunch we will drink a tea in Gorreana Tea factory, the oldest and unique factory of tea in Europe. If possible, we will have a mindful walk in the plantations.

At the end of the day we will go to a new Hotel, the 5 star Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, for another 3 nights.

After dinner, we invite you - if you want - to dive in the hot thermal pool, and have a magnificent and magical experience in the water. An aromatic water ritual will be done.

We will start the morning with Carina Costa, agricultural engineer, who will give us a guided tour

of the Terra Nostra Garden, to see and learn about the almost 1000 camellias trees that habit this garden.

Lunch in the garden or near.

In the afternoon Jonathan will give an Aromatic Workshop in the garden.

Dinner.

After dinner indulge yourself taking a bath in the hot's iron water pool, again! And participate in another aromatic water ritual.

Friday, 26 de January 2024

Start the day relaxing in the hot pool before breakfast. A morning meditation will take place in the water (optional). You will have the rest of the morning free, to relax, go to the pool, walk in the garden or in the Furnas village.

During lunch we will taste the typical Azorean stew, cooked underground!

After lunch we will see the place where the stew was made, and see some views points before returning to the hotel.

In the evening we will have a light dinner in the hotel. After that, we will have a farewell ritual in the garden and in the hot pool. A ritual to reflect on the seed you have planted in your heart and how to make it grow further so that you will be able to achieve your purpose and your goals.
